oh, I think good metal SHOULD be supported. Don't leave the world alone with Korn, Limp Bizkit and co.

you forgot stinking park...but korn "made" good metal. the first
two albums were cool.
but where is good metal now? i can´t stand shitknot or slipshit and all that. they can´t beat good ol sepultura before the singer left...
or good ol pantera...
in these strange times even manowar had a comeback *shivers*...

slipknot are still a bit better than the rest of all the numetal-soup, at least they have proper double bass drum action and some blastbeats. otherwise than that I recommend cryptopsy, cephalic carnage (cause these guys are fucking weird), immolation, and some massive grindcore from pig destroyer, agoraphobic nosebleed, converge, dillinger escape plan, burnt by the sun. I think there's tons of good stuff out, although it's probably more in the field of metallic hardcore. Other really good bands are botch, knut, shora, nostromo, nasum, vulgar pigeons, keelhaul, rubbish heap, exhumed, carnal forge, meshuggah...god, there's tons of them, they're just never exposed to the electronic media (besides the web).

I am a big system of a down fan, but sometimes I dont classify them as metal. good as hell anyway.
cephalic carnage is BAD AS SHIT! grindcore/deathmetal that is all about smoking weed. super heavy and then super jazzy?!?! you have to hear it to believe it.
