Looks worth a look.
VARIOUS / BERLIN DIGITAL - A Guide Through The Electronic Music Scene in Berlin
Liebling
DVD // £ 12.99
This incredible 175 minute DVD was originally comissioned by distribution powerhaus EFA a short while before it collapsed last year. It features an incredibly charming and informative selection of short films (21 in total) that focus on different aspects, organisations and personalities well known as key players in Berlin's infamous music scene. The films range from an absolutely incredible segment filmed at Berlin's notoriously secretive Duplates and Mastering cutting rooms (a guided tour courtesy of Christoph, taking you through the mastering and cutting process) to a behind-the-scene look at Bpitch Control (priceless footage of Ellen Allien and Modeselektor having a laugh at Bpitch HQ), Christian Kleine taking you into the inner workings of Monolake's Ableton software company, a look at the Tresor club and label, plus in depth footage of the De:Bug magazine, Native Instruments, Shitkatapult, Bomb 20, design collective Pfadfinderei, Jamie Lidell + Mocky + Kevin Blechdom, Gudrun Gut and Thomas Fehlman's Oceanclub radio programme, Dense promotion and record store, Monolake and a guide to Berlin's infamous record stores. Incredibly watchable and informative - One of the best recent additions to this fast-growing format - an absolute must for anyone even remotely interested in this city's huge influence on the music scene. Highly recommended. *Zone-free, all regions, Subtitled*
