Osaka music scene

Occasional NF member Hardy Spymania has asked me to ask you good people if you know anything about the Osaka music scene?

He just moved to Japan and wants to know of any mags / websites / shops / scenes etc. that he should know about. He doesn't have a proper net connec yet, just occasional very expensive internet cafe's (5 quid for 15 mins or something stupid!)

He has very wide taste in music, so absolutely anything really.

Only place I've been out in Osaka is Club Rockets, where I played twice in 2001 & 2002. I think it's still going. Very small, very dark and good sound. Techno, various styles of on a Saturday. I think they have bands on during the week.

cant remember where i went when i was there but osaka is such a great place. i know h is going to love it and never want to leave.

fumiya tanaka is from osaka if I remember correctly. so I am sure he is still out and about in that area.
