anyone know of any good clubs/events this coming weekend in Vienna? Or addresses for record shops?

The best record shop for techno is "33&45 records and culture", with a reasonable selection of good techno in general and brighton sound in particular, also quite a few detroit classics. It's located in the Krummgasse 1, the homepage is www.recordstore.at, it also contains a little map. The Krummgasse is a littlebit hidden, but you should be able to find it, if I was :-).

Btw, as for clubs, I'd always recommend the Flex, a proud former punkrock club existing since 1989, now doing some of the finest techno and drum'n'bass-parties you can get in Vienna. The soundsystem is totally phat. Cristian also rocked there (and he didn't in many other places in Austria), Jeff Mills usually plays the Flex when he's in Austria. Also you can sit very well outside the club at the Donaukanal , i.e. a river and chill. Check out www.flex.at
On Saturday there's the 10th anniversary of Sabotage records, a viennese label, so that should be quite interesting. They have Philipp Quehenberger playing, I know the man in person, you should definitely not miss him and his analogue synth weirdness! As for the dj's I can't really tell...sounds more like it's not gonna be too hard or challenging.
