I had a bizarre experience this morning.
Since I was first in the office this morning I thought I'd capitalise on the situation by playing Raw Digits. The other people in my office (Jehovah's Witness, Daily Mail reader in her 60s, and young afternoon receptionist) don't tend to appreciate my taste in music, so I rarely get to indulge without waiting for the inevitable complaint. So I was listening happily when my boss (the JW) arrived. She sat down and immediately said "What's this? I like this, who is it?" In fact, she likes it so much I've said I'll do her a copy.
Half an hour later, the Daily Mail reader came in, sat down, and said "Ooh, what's this music? It's good isn't it? Makes you kind of want to - " and then mimed a little dance in her seat.
So Cristian, what I want to know is this: is your music going to align the planets and bring world harmony to us all? Will we one day be united under the s_c equivalent of 'be excellent to each other'?

why don't you send her here and have her BUY a copy rather than burning her a cd. kinda of hard for independent artists to make their way when even their fans bootleg their art.

Bonus points for naming the band that Mr T really mentioned in an episode of the A-Team. Their lead singer was a guest star in the episode...
PS I found a vinyl copy of Head On a few months ago, and have been meaning to boast about it for some time... nah-nah-nah, nah-nah

if the woman is not a big music fan chances are she wouldnt buy the cd anyway. sure she likes hearing it if someone else is playing it but what are the chances of her putting down the money to actually buy the cd? someone else in the world is listening to s_c. isnt that enough?

Well there was also a great episode with Rick James & Isaac Hayes, plus one with a 80ies throwaway plastic rock chipmunk that has long since exited the limelight and my hippocampus...

Precisely. This is a woman who walked out of Love, Actually because according to her it featured porn. She is not in the habit of walking anywhere but the most conservative side of the street, so telling her to buy a copy of this album will achieve precisely dick.

I'd forgotton about that. I think that should win an award for being so hilariously at odds with the rest of society.

Speaking of that, I have a school mate I haven't seen in a few years that swore to me on numerous occasions that Elton John was not, in fact, homosexual.

my step dad swears blind that Julian Clarey isn't gay. He reckons it's all just an act.
