midge plague

fuck those damn little vampires.....too much of them are around this year here in germany.
i have to close my windows by night, even it is much too hot, cos if i would keep them open i would wake up with at least more than 10 midge bites.
same plague in other countries ?

don't tell me anything mate. i was out in the woods yesterday, found me a nice place to sit down and smoke a spliff when these flying nosferatus came to get me. i could kill the ones that tried to land on my arms but today morning i saw that they took my back instead, at least 15 red dots.

i think i read somewhere that it has something to do with this flood, you know like swamps, mud etc.

buy citronella essential oil - they hate it! (fleas hate this also)

u could make a mix up using an almond oil base. use 10% citronella and maybe combine with 5% lavender oil.

if u decant this into plant-spray, u can spray your exposed skin every hour, and it will keep them away. (make certain u test it on a small patch of skin first!)

if u don't want to get all alchemical, then u can buy a butane-propelled spray, with citronella in, but it's more expensive than making your own.
