I hate sunday afternoons

I sit here, in front of a computer on a sunday afternoon. it's raining outside, I don't have anywhere to go, I'm not inspired enough to piss around musically, I left the book I was reading at work, and I've already read Future Music cover to cover twice.

I'm bored. I get bored every sunday afternoon. I think it's because there is a nagging thought in the back of my head. It's saying "you're going back to work tomorrow."

I know I shouldn't dread it, but I do. It makes my head pretty much useless on a sunday afternoon and evening. Rather than last night, when I was active, creative and having a good time, all I can think of now is "what shall I do now?"

I've tried watching the telly. Nothing on. I tried pissing around on my musical boxes, but it was fruitless, and I gave up after 40 minutes. I reread my magazine. Now I'm just sitting here, in front of a computer, listening to music. And bored.

watch the sun go down

i love sunday afternoons! especially if i haven't caned it on saturday night.. today for example, im cooking a casserole and drinking some red wine with my housemate..oh, and occassionally popping upstairs to check the net..it's raining outside and im listening to a jazz cd, which kinda goes perfectly with the moment. if i had a boyfriend to get under the covers with later as well, i'd be the happiest person on earth!

sunday's are always a lazy / self indulgence day to me... been listening to music that suits the rain - a bit like tania, watching videos on and off, reading highly intellectual literature (Glamour Magazine) and happily letting one of my girlfriends bend my ear off something crazy about a new bloke that she met over the weekend... oh - and sorting out my handbags ;)

I had a wicked Sunday afternoon. Sat in front of the TV on on the sofa with me birrrrd at my mum's, while mum brought snacks like melon, japanese rice crackers and crystalised ginger... and we watched "Angels With Dirty Faces" and "The Ten Commandments". Haven't watched TV with such concentration since xmas I don't think. Then we all went to my favourite Japanese restaurant and gorged ourselves on raw fish.

I ate 4 sunday lunches and most of M&S at a mate's flat in Crouch End, then drove along most of the roads in London until I found one that went to Brighton.

Sunday afternoon is ace. Have just found a new house to move into with working open fires for burning coal, wood and children so Sunday's about to get even better.
