last time i spoke to him he was getting into playing geetars and being in a real band, and not been making much techno. look forward to hearing what he's been doing. i bet it's noisy.

tobias is a very frequent name, as well as the name schmidt.
maybe it's the same guy who did this remix http://www.discogs.com/release/4905
a lot of people thought it's toby and it's definitely not toby, it's a guy from the german hip hop scene who is a member of this band http://hiphop.discogs.com/artist/F%FCnf+Sterne+Deluxe

i will get an update from him , i saw him at the mocky gig recently but despite having my office next to his studio, we dont see each other much. i hear loud geetar coming out though - he;s in a few bands. mind you, all i have ever heard coming out of his studio are the works of rod stewart, the faces, the small faces and thin lizzy VERY loud.
