Ever been told your family/mum/dad has died in jest?

This happened to me once. Someone told me my mum had died and i really believed them. When i found out it was a lie i was really happy. So it was good in a way.

I remember reading about a rock producer in the seventies needing a recording of some kids crying (I think it was a Lou Reed record), so he got his kids in and told their mum was dead and recorded them blubbing.

i remember only too well last Valentine's Day when you made a topic here saying you hoped my son would die.

when pressed for why you had done such a dreadful thing, you said you'd based your death-wish thread on paranoid supposition on your part and false information given to you last Feb?

tell me, where is your empathy? if you have had tricks like this played on you, why continually play them out here?

you stir up some of the most tragic experiences that individuals can suffer: the death of a close-beloved child, or parent, or friend, but you yourself show very little understanding or compassion for other emotional ordeals.

i have run out of sympathy for you at this point, at a time where such personal self-disclosure should in fact be generating sympathy for your personal emotional disturbance.

whether that's just because i've been slowly desensitized to your contrary & melodramatic ways, right now, i can't for the life of me muster up ANY compassion for you, and that's what is so sad about this topic.
