Some Wanker stole my powerbook

Got home today to find some total cunt has stolen my powerbook from my bedroom. - i was away last night.

my flatmate said some people were round last night but he doesn't know who exactly (mates of mates of his), fucking great.

tho he has said he will replace it. kind gesture, but I am still FUCKED off.

i dont get it - who ever it was was a twat, as it was a g3 black powerbook, and it my room there is a pc laptop (which I am typing on now) and also loads of studio gear, and next to the lap top was a credit card. so why he only nabbed the powerbook its anyones guess. Cant believe it, its the final straw of an altogether rubbish weekend.

Perhaps I could imagine if it they had a big smack habit, and broke into someone's flat for the money, but by the very fact that they are 'friends' or 'friends of friends' of your flatmate means that there is attachment to that. sorry to hear that. os x machines are sometimes configured to sync with apple's time server for the clock if it boots up with internet hooked up. or sometimes they register with apple for updates and such. you could try asking apple if they can track the location of a laptop through their network services, and if possible they can cooperate with your local detectives if you file a claim. probably is a longshot, but might be worth trying if you cant get it through your friends

that's pretty wack decadnids. just think of the money, and, if lady luck really starts to take a shine to you, maybe you'll get a 15" 2Ghz G4 powerbook with superdrive, usb2 and firewire 800 instead of the ancient old G3. you might have lost a lot of work, but as mr knid said, a fresh start ain't always a bad thing.:)
