Yeah, the HIGGINS ULTRA LOW TRACK GLUE FUNK HITS 1972-2006 are amazing! Do you also know the LP together with Speedranch? It's fucking crazy :)...and there is also a single on Planet Mu, which is called 'songs about my cats'... I'm lucky because I have here a really good record store, which sells the Planet Mu stuff, but think it is best to contact an UK- mailorder...

"Songs about my cats" is not only a single, it's a whole album. And the project together w.ith Speedranch is called "Making orange things". And the most morbid thing on that one is that distorted version of "Stairway to Heaven".

just listened to the tracks... hmmm bad that i don't like these sound like all the others here... we here call it gabber or?
however, not the right sound to hear at morning when you're weak, needing holiday and don't get some free days the whole year...
maybe it sounds better when someone plays it at -8 on the turntable :)
cheers,
sven

As I've said before, I find VS very refreshing after a day of work. It gives you back all the energy you are devoided of. But then again, I also like Slayer as music to fall asleep to, sometimes....

Freg Les / Zombie - I know exactly what you mean. It's a real brain-cleanser. I also find VS very good if I am far too intoxicated or hungover - it mirrors the chaos inside and gives me something that I can relate to, and thus helps to draw my attention back to the outside world. Woosnares! Yeep.

Exactly this is the cause why I like this music styles beside that it is very intelligent music...
cool, that there are people outside, who understand that =)

...and to the "wired" boy:
it's cool that not everyone on this board prefers the same styles
and I wouldn't call VS a gabber producer...

to freg les:
sometimes i think when somebody here writes critics about some music, he stands alone... but i do... it's not my sound, and why should i say it is when it isn't... i won't buy it, but for only-listening it's ok... ok, gabber wasn't the right name, but it remembers me on some old hardcore productions that i heard some times ago...
cheers,
sven

No, it's ok, when you say that it is not your style... I respect everything...
You are not alone with your thinking of that broken beats... there are a lot people, who say that it is "just" noise, but that doesn't matter...
ok, when you know the LP from VS together with Speedranch it is ok to say that it is Speedcore or sth. like that... =)

Is there a connection between Low Res the label and Low Res the Metroplex artist?
MUX
22nd August 2002, 12:48

just kidding.. aperently not though
nothinghere
22nd August 2002, 14:29
yes no relation (lowres)
I beleive the Vsnares, Doormouse, Otto sound is "catagorized" as Breakcore, but FUCK LABELS
Also the new Doormouse (Broken) on mu sounds very good also, I wonder if its new material or comp of previous stuff.
